Default Ft Desoto activity the last week of October?

I will be at Ft Desoto Florida the last week of October this year. How good is shorebird activity at that time of year? What shorebirds should I expect to see?
    Thanks,
    Sandy

    Hi Sandy:

I don't usually do much photographing in October at Ft DeSoto so I am not really sure. However, there should be a good mix of shorebirds, and I think you'll be happy. I would guess that you will see Reddish Egret and possibly a white morph; oystercatchers, white ibis, great egret, snowy egret, willets, various plovers, gulls and terns, black skimmers, sanderlings, possible long-billed curlew if he's around, possible dowitchers and godwits.

Feel free to contact me as the time grows closer, and I may have more information.

    Thanks Marina!

It sounds like I will be very happy there! Black skimmers are on my list. Are there any areas that I may be more likely to see them?
