I got five images of the fly-by, with only two having the eye visible (the first two), and only one of those with good wing positions. The Hooptie Deux...it ain't just Spoonbills!

Canon 7D + 100-400L @310mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/6.3, ISO 800 (histogram checked), natural light, handheld, small crop for composition.

Lovely image Daniel, well done on visible eye and good detail and exposure.

Really nice Daniel. Good composition and exposure for the whites is perfect. Great wing position and behavior. I might boost the blacks in the pink feet and beak as they seem a bit washed out and need a little punch.

The nesting material adds a nice natural history element to the image.

Lovely flight pose and glad that I can see a glimpse of the eye. The huge amount of nesting material really lifts this capture to another level.

All the times I've been there.....never got an Ibis with nesting material! Excellent timing.....agree with Gail on tweaking the reds a touch. Visible eye takes it over the top!
