I found this Stink Bug (Family Pentatomidae) in Costa Rica on a lighted "bug sheet" at night and photographed it in my portable light tent setup. This one is about twice the size of the ones I see here in the U.S. The (likely) plant-sucking beak is fully extended. 5D II, 100 mm macro, 1/200, f/16, ISO 100, MT24-EX (fired downward through the light tent), hand held. The full-res original has much more detail in the eye. All comments are welcome and appreciated.
More great work with the tent! Lighting and colors look good.....the only thing I can suggest would be to lighten up the right eye and maybe boost the contrast and/or sharpen it just a bit more. The rest of the image looks prefect!
Excellent! I love the extended "beak". Iwas going to comment on the eye, but you mention it is full of detail in the bigger resolution version. The light box works wonders...something to look at...
