Taken today......more of my front yard blooms........this time a tulip. Always wanted to do an ultra close up. Since the flower was mine....peeled down the front 2 petals and stamen.........so I could show the inside of the tulip. Used the Canon Mark lll and the 1.4 tele and a 20mm extension tube with the Sigma 180mm macro. Macro twin lights set at minus 2/3 at f32, 1/100th sec. at ISO 1250........it was windy outside!
As always, comments welcomed and appreciated,
    Roman

An interesting approach Roman and the very vivid red tones give impact to the image.
I am left though wanting to see the base (origin) of the stamens. This no doubt would include the top of the stem supporting the flower head. As presented here I would like to remove the black triangle in the LH corner.

Excellent image, Roman. Fantastic detail in the petals and stamens. Very unique perspective and composition. I really like it, Roman.

The vertical crop is perfect here and the details are super.

Agree with John Cooper 100% on his crop and corner comments.
