    Got real lucky capturing this food exchange from male to female Northern Harrier yesterday at Coyote Hills, Fremont.

    Camera Make = Canon
    Camera Model = Canon EOS-1D Mark IV
    Exposure Time = 1/2000 second
    Lens F-Number / F-Stop = ƒ/8
    Exposure Program = shutter priority
    ISO Speed Ratings = 400
    Exposure Bias (EV) = 1/3
    Distance to Subject = 799/10 m
    Metering Mode = pattern / multi-segment
    Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
    Focal Length = 700 mm

    What a great story this capture tells, Conrad. You caught it just right b/c I love the female's position and how her talons are outstretched in the upward position.

    Super action shot. The effect of the females' talons would have been lost in another fraction of a second. Great timing or a touch of luck, doesn't matter it's still a terrific capture.

    Thank you Marina, I only wish I had more of the sequence. The MkIV is too slow for this action!
