Fort De Soto is a gem of a place to be, especially when you happen to be there during a 'fallout'. As
my luck would have it, I was at De Soto at the tail end of it.

I only managed to photograph a few song birds as my focus was finding the infamous Reddish Egret,
    American Oystercatcher and shorebirds.
There were record sightings around the park, one
particular spot near the Bay Pier area. I stayed in this area for no more than an hour seeing a
    number
of song birds including a pair of Summer Tanagers.

    Ramon:

Your bird is sharp, well exposed. DOF covered him well.

The perch is a bit overpowering for this small bird.

The light angle is well off to the left and above, but the underparts still show pretty well.

I could see a small crop from the left and above to move him off center a bit.

    Cheers

I was at Fort Desoto in the third week of April and witnessed a fallout on one particular evening (both birds, and sebsequently birders too). I agree with Randy's critique. Sharp with nice fine detail as posted, and I liek the colours.

Agree with Randy & Daniel on the crop moving the bird out of center. You may wish to consider going to the educational resource forum to check out the Rule of Third's thread there. It is very informative. I was there during the fall out as well. What a great adventure that was, esp since I don't normally photograph songbirds. In this case you have no way to determine on which branch/perch they may land, and you feel lucky just to get them in an open space as you did here.
