    Very nice Joe. The subject, pose, eye contact, perch and background are all great.

    The shallow DOF is a bit of a problem; it would have been better to trade some shutter speed for a less open lens. And I would provide more headroom by adding a little more canvass above the bird.

    Beautiful Tanagerthe reds are handled nicely and the bird has plenty of contrast. For me the subject id to tight in the frame and I would like to see just a bit more room on both the top and bottom

    Nice image, Joe. You handled the exposure of the red pretty good.
    I might add a little to the top and right, if possible.
