I am in the Kruger National Park at the moment and was fortunate to see this eagle breaking off sticks from a dead tree and carrying them to another tree where it was busy with a nest.

    Pieter:

The tight vertical comp works well because of his intense gaze at the stick. Good that the head and underwing is so well illuminated. I like the subtle clouds, adds interest to the sky.

How big of a crop was this?

Look forward to more from your outing.

    Cheers

Thank you Randy for your comments. This was about a 56% crop. Unfortunately moving away now from Internet access for a couple of weeks.
