hi Gail, great shot! Love the details in the wings and the dynamic pose with one feet up. Gorgeous green background. Did you handheld your big lens wading in deep water or used a tripod?

    Gail:

Lovely, sharp, nice pose, good looking bird with nice markings on his bill.

I would consider clone stamping the dark areas at very top of frame.

I am guessing this one was taken from aboard the Hooptie, as opposed to wading?

    Cheers

This is really nice. I like the water drop and the bit of reflection. Overall I think the bird is very well exposed against the dark BG.

Nice and sharp, well exposed, like the pose. I always like these dark BG with the spoonbills.

Beautiful pose and exposure, it almost look like it's dancing on water.

I should've taken your offer to go the Hooptie Deux, next time.

Your Spoonbills are far better than mine, I'm afraid to post mine...

Nice pose and light, I also like the single drop splash. I do wish the eye was better lit. Pink on green looks great!

Hi Gail, good placement in the frame, and I like the angle of the spoonie. Overall, you have exposed the spoonie nicely, sharp, and showing good underwing detail too. The raised foot puts this up a notch.
