Michael, congratulations on the new camera!! ISO 12,800 - amazing! The image is great - I love the head tilt (maybe he's thinking - "What's he doing, I'm in the deep shadows, he'll never get a good image")

I never would have guessed this was even possible a few years back. Wow! Look how far cameras have come! It really looks like you took it mid-morning at ISO 100.

I love the head tilt and the catch light - that really brings him to life. Might try bringing the whites on his breast up just a tiny bit more - they don't need to be bright white but a tiny bit more "oomph" to them might help center the viewer's focus in the head/breast area of the bird.

Very nice image and application, Michael.

It's amazing what we have today over what some of us started with. It's a whole new world of photography, both offering new images as well as new learning curves!

I like the tilt of the head and that eye! Lovely colors. Very nice capture.
Congratulations on the new camera! Wow! Amazing ISO. I didn't think that was possible.

    Cheryl, Julie, Mark, Anita,

Thanks much for the comments. I've had the camera for less than a week and so far it totally blows my mind.

    Cheers,

Congrats on the new camera Michael, nicely done on the pose and the sharpness. Amazing ISO! If it were mine I'd evict the back leaf and second perch. Again amazing results!
