    Default Greater yellow legs

Saw this bird standing on a rock in a lake in curacao. From my position I had a lot of backlight, so as quiet as possible I walked around it to get the light from behind. Then I layed down on the ground and I was able to make this picture.

what a beauty! Fantastic pose, great light and detail! I might see if I could get rid of the out of focus rock in the lower left corner

Beautiful image! But I agree with Matthew about the oof rock, and perhaps extend canvas a bit on the left for the bird to look into.

Great fieldcraft from the sounds of it! I like the comp as is (you have enough room in front), and nice light. Awesome perch, and I love the little shell on it. I too would look into eliminating the rocks in LLC, and perhaps filling in the brighter patch in the BG near the bill. Beautiful stuff!

    Thanks for the comments guys!
I thought about removing the oof rock, but i thought it also gives depth to the picture. But i'm going to try it out and see how it works
