On a mainly cloudy day with constantly changing light I was looking to photograph small birds in flight. This opportunity presented itself without time to lower the shutter speed and the ISO. I mention this as no doubt there would be a few raised eyebrows looking at the odd (for this shot) settings!

Thanks for explaining the settings. I do think f/10 was abit much no matter what the light was as this has made the BG less OOF than ideal (especially top left quarter). Focus is on the back and perch rather than the face...tough when they lean forward like that unexpectedly. Good exposure though, and well thought out composition. Hope you get some good BIFs!
Welcome. Both the quality and the direction of the are problematic here.... In bright sun it is doubly important to point your shadow directly at the subject. Here it seems to be from the high left and a bit behind the bird....
