    Default Cattle Egret fight

    Attached Images Attached Images

from the St Augustine Alligator farm . Two cattle egrets had a disagreement as to who owned the female. IF humans were just that simple?????
Anyway, PB, fractalus, a bit of sky addition, some layer work with blending and finally the original faces copied, faded a bit and then blended. I recorded most of the fight so it was an interesting sequence, but this is the only one with sharp faces and beaks. The original, I printed at 20x30".

Quite colorful. I like the Frac treatment. The foliage against the sky look looks like you may want to soften that up a bit, just my taste. The bird behavior is great. Nice catch.

Steve, I like your approach in processing this image; if it were mine, I'd be tempted to tone down the green in the leaves to help heighten the sense of depth and separation; Jay makes a good point RE the sky as well...darkening it or softening it a bit will help differentiate between the blue in shadowed areas of the feathers and the blue in the sky. Great behavioral shot and a well composed base image. I hope to see more.

Steve, I like the action and the fract treatment. I think I'm another vote for toning down the green a little and I would eliminate that small patch of foliage in the ULC and if possible the sticks in the sky area. Great behavior - they look like they mean business

Steve, Nice original capture with the behavior. I like the way you composed this. I would lighten the birds or whiten the birds a little to help them pop a bit. Ditto the foliage and the small piece in the ULC. Nice job!

Hi Steve....nice capture and beautiful processing. It looks otherwordly to me. I like the continuity of the blue colored sky being reflected in the wings. I'm ok with the greens also. You might consider cloning out the stick in the upper middle of the frame. Really Nice work!

Beautiful interaction capture, Steve, and like your filter treatment. Nice composition, and good suggestions above to make it even stronger.
