    You really nailed it, and I love the perch too. the sand on the bill adds a little extra interest, the details and exposure are excellent.

    Hi Frank, I like the soft light, which in turn has brought out the colours nicely. A simple pose, (nothing wrong with that ) and certainly lots of character on the perch. Killer BG too.

    I really like the interesting perch. I am not sure if I like the sand on the beak or not. It tells a story but I find it a bit distracting.
    Good comp. BG is very green and uniform and I would be tempted to tone green down a bit by decreasing the blacks in the green in selective color (if you have CS5).
    All in all, a good solid image

    Beautiful image of a beautiful bird. Interesting perch. One tiny thing I'd love is either removing the extra bit at left of the perch, or leaving in but giving a tad more room for its' tip.

    Keeping it simple works well here. Nice perch , fine detail and beautiful light all contribute to one fine image.
