    Default Noise Reduction

I currently use Photoshop elements and I am looking for a piece of noise reduction software that either runs with elements or as a stand alone piece of software. Can anyone give me advice? I use a mac rather than a pc if that makes a difference. Also so advice on settings would be great.

Hi Mat- Photoshop has its own NR filter (not sure about Elements) but I use the Topaz Suite which includes Topaz DeNoise. I like it a lot.

I've used both Noiseware and Noise Ninja (my current software for NR), both available as Photoshop plug-in or as standalone and both very good at what they do. Settings will normally change by camera model and settings used (ISO)...there are camera profiles you can use.

I've been pretty happy with Noisware Pro. I use the CS5 plugin, but it is also available as a stand alone.

By the way Chas was the one who taught me how to use Nik define selectively. Another plug for Lr4 adjustment brush-fast way to do selective sharpening also
