I took this photo a few days ago. Taken with Canon 7D, 1.4 TC and 300mm F4.0 IS lens. ISO800 F6.3 1/200 EV-2/3 A1 Servo Mode. Rear focus. I like the back lighting but thought I would see what everyone else thinks. Regards Mat

Hi Mat,
Good calling pose and I like the lighting.
I would sharpen the head a bit more and change the composition so that the bird is not so centered. Great look at the iridescent feathers,

Great perch and singing pose. Agree on head looking a bit soft.

loved the pose and the perch. liked the light and colors as well. SS is on the lower side to capture the motion.

Agree on the above. This would have looked good as a vertical IMO as I am not crazy about the perch ending. I like what seems to be saliva between the mandibles, and you've got nice colours.
