with 100-400 L Hand held from a jeep. The angle was steep but this guy was right above us and gave a nice 'look'. Maybe another round of sharpening would have helped?

Hi Sanjeev,
The steep angle and the owl being blurry are a problem. I don't think you can save this image with sharpening. Sorry...

Sanjeev, angle is steep but with that BG, it would have worked had the owl been not so soft. Did you do NR on the file? did you miss the focus?..that is my guess as the part of the branch entering the frame is much sharper.

Hi Kaustubh,
I think you are right, the focus was on the branch and the talons. I did use NR on the image. Now a days I am using NR only on the BG (which was not the case in this image) thats why the loss of feather details.....
