I personally think the female RW Blackbird is way prettier than the male.

    I agree!
Nice image. Might tone down the BG branch intersecting belly or cloning it out. Good pose. Lovely perch. Some will not like OOF tail but I am fine with it,

very nice Dan, if this is the enviroment you photograph often you should invest in a SB900 to even out the lightning a bit. very good sharpness and a nice pose. ditto green cast coming from the filtered light

For me, this really works well because of 1.light quality, and 2.unique setting/perch for
a female red winged blackbird image. I think the size and brightness of the moss
tuft on the left hand side is a bit of an issue (if the perch was set up), if not, then
disregard...The visible photoshop work done under the perch is an issue and if cleaned
up, would improve the image. (Cloned out a branch or what I'm not sure....?)

Hi Dan, for a change, the female of this species does have more colour than the male. Good sharp detail captured with a good pose. I agree with Gail to remove the OOF branch.

Good portrait. Agree with others comments. Would have been better with both legs visible but not much you could do about that,

Great shot. Great pose, very nice feather detail, I like the perch, and agree on the intersecting branch.
    Well done.
