Another image from a previous dog walk around the town. Processed for hyper detail using Adjust 5 Small Details, to get the max texture of the masonry. The slab of wood, is actually a door, which I suppose is re-hung every evening from the grey support column. What think?

    Cheers, Jay

I think that the perspective, the aspect ratio, the texture, the difference between the left and right side and that turquoise blue door make this really interesting. An image like this could be the starting point for a lot of wild transformations -- like mirror images and distortions.

This is wonderful, Jay. Great perspective, textures and lighting. Really very nice.

There's a lot to like here, Jay; your processing did a good job of accentuating the textures in the brick....the narrow corridor lends a sense of entrapment, with the doorway at the end an escape...the columns, the door leaning against the brick, the window with the reflection of the sky all add points of interest that keep your eye moving through the image. Not sure I'd change much...it's a bit brighter than your usual style, and I'm wondering if darkening it a bit might add to the sense of tension...interesting capture!

Jay, I just like everything about this. It has a lot of mystery and the lighting seems to heighten the drama. I like the reflections in the door and windows too

You did a very nice job of presenting this neat little scene. It has so many unanswered questions in it that it is fun to look at. I love the bricks on the walkway and the window above with the reflection of the sky. All makes me wonder how much equipment you take with you on a dog walk.

    Thanks everyone...............always appreciate the feedback.

John, this did start darker, I changed my mind at the last minute..........go figure

Laurie, I take one camera, a Nikon D3s and one lens, a Nikkor 24-120mm. Hike up the ISO, and then I step on the dogs leash if he won't be still!

I really like it all but especially the flecks of paint and/or color on the ground! What a neat image! I'm getting a bit claustrophobic just looking at it!

You did very well without a tripod. I would have been concerned with having enough depth of field and would have lost some speed trying for more.

Jay, I love the brick in the FG esp. on the right side. I wonder if a little more FG placing the column back in the frame just a bit would make it feel like more of the scene. I love the narrow view and the interst along the way. Very well seen and processed.

Oh drat! I didn't even notice the cut column until you mentioned it. Yes, a step backward was what it needed. Nice catch on my shadow, I lightened it up but left it in. :)
