Blue bird?????

I know this is a bad photo. I was setting up to try shots of a blue jay that invades our yard when this bright blue bird suddenly popped in. I was startled and had time for only a couple of quick takes when he flew off again. I've never seen an official blue bird but my friends tell me a blue bird has a brown chest. This one is bright blue all over. Can you help me identify it? Again, I apologize for the bad photo quality.

You've got a beautiful male Indigo Bunting in breeding plumage! If you have a niger seed feeder he may come back to it before heading off to establish proper territory.
