    Default Screech Owlet

~While everyone is visiting the Burrowing Owl nests, I am giving this screech owlet some love. This owl is probably my favorite species from the Florida region because it is harder to find and photograph them. I have been following this nest since last year. It is that time of the year.

    Troy:

Sharp, well exposed, cute as a button little owlet, crop works well with his gaze direction. Great shooting angle for a nest. Are you on a ladder

    Look forward to more!

    Cheers

    Hi Troy,
Great techs and exposure. I might take a bit more off the right hand side as I find all that tree a bit overpowering. Trerrific look at his feet as well,

Hi Troy, cute little guy, and I like the dangling leg. The chick is nice and sharp, and fits around the nest hole perfectly. Would love to see one with more eye contact.

That is a cute little owl. I have never seen a Screech owlet before. Very good angle you have for this nest.

The bird and especially the feet are too cute but it needed to look at you.

I like it Troy. To me, the owlet looking away gives the feeling that he has no idea that you're there. 'Don't know about you, but I've not yet been able to sneak up on one. (Just don't go so far as to hold a mouse in your teeth while composing a shot to get him to look at you.)

Yikes, I would puke before I touched one.
