    Not as striking as the male , but beautiful in it's own way. I love the pastel type color. One of 18 new species for me from the great Texas trip with Alan Murphy and Brian Small last week.

    Very nice detail and cmplimentary BG. The beak is bit soft, not sure if its lack DOF. Bird is too large in the frame for my tatse and the clipped part of the perch bugs me. Nice catchlight in the eye..>TFS Joe!

    Beautiful detail and lighting on the bird and a lovely BG. Agree with clipped perch and oof beak comment sabove.

    That is what I call a successful trip, 18 new species!!

    The female is indeed beautiful. Sharp where it needs to be, and you have a nice gree BG. A bit large in the frame, and I agree more below would be good for the perch. I actually would prefer less of a head turn here.
