    Jonathan:

    I like the colors, lighting, perch, action with flying drops. Head is relatively sharp while the wings and body show the motion from the shake. I think this would be particularly effective as part of a series.

    Yes, facing away, but I obviously think that can work sometimes (based on my recent loon posting)

    Hi Jon, I like the different effects of motion blur over the kingfisher ( some parts are more motion blurred than others ) and I am surprised that even at 1/500, you got so much blur. What I really like is how the striking colours stand out against the darker BG. The flying droplets add interest.

    This is a very neat image Jonathan. I like it for all the reasons mentioned above and that there was just enough light shining on the kf to make his colors glow.

    It is a cool image, I like the flying feathers. The blur is just right to me for this, I only wish the head was turned toward you.
