    It seems like years since I last posted on this forum, probably because I have had nothing worthy of posting

    On a very hot afternoon in Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa we came across a family of Ostrich clearly suffering from the heat.

    This immature one came very close and I took this through the open window of our vehicle.

    EOS 1D MkIII

    F8, ISO 400, 1/1600

    Great angle makes this work. Nice blue sky BG and very fine detail. Might take just a bit off the right side.

    Nice inquisitive pose, and sharp where it counts. I only wish you had taken this as a vertical with more neck showing.

    I have a few vertical shots from the same sighting I'll take a look.
