Canon 17-40mm filters?

Hi, well I finally decided to buy a 17-40mm lens for landscape photography, but I really know nothing of the type of filters I need to get to get the best images. I'm off to Scotland in a few weeks so would like to capture that stunning scenery. Could someone advise on the essential filters I need. I'm guessing polarising and nd filters but I nothing of which or makes I should get.

Can nobody advise on the must have filters for landscape photography.

Yes, a polarizing filter. Beyond that, perhaps an ND3 or 4 neutral density filter. That is all I ever carry, and I rarely use either.
