    Default CrabTree

I am adding this to the weekly theme since this is the first CrabTree I have ever seen.
I created this from an image of a Sally Lightfoot crab and an image of a tree. I layered and transformed approx. 30 crabs to create the draped look. I added Snap Art"s Impasto filter for the finishing touch. To see another version you can check out my blog post.

Hi Denise. Incredibly creative...you have this beautiful, pastel field of clouds in the sky...subtle green tones of a lush foliage...and crabs. In a tree. Not something you come across every day, and it makes you do a second take! I would never have thought to do it. I can't put my finger on why...yet...but for some reason I like the version on your blog more...can't pinpoint the reason just yet. Very patient and well done processing...and the original image of the crab is pretty darned good, too! A whimsical flight of fancy that shows your playful side.

Like John, I prefer the one on your blog. I'm not sure if it's because the tree is softer or because it's softer and, therefore, seems like the rest of the image. The whole idea is just delightfully creative. When I saw the blog one, yesterday, it took me back a year or so to when I first saw your images and found the Chicken Bouillon one. Your creativity is quite wonderful.

Denise, I like the blog version better too. I think it's softer and the texture is a little more subtle. Either way, it is wonderfully creative and whimsical.
