Very nice, Frank. Excellent low angle and that red eye is great. I like the splattering water too. I might be tempted to crop out a bit of the blurred FG and make it more pano. A bit of head turn towards you would have improved it, but it works the way it is. TFS.

I like the behaviour and good tehs. The relatively sharp bank doesn't help though. Would consider tighter crop.

Frank, the shooting angle is nice...great moment and timing. I think there is too much space below. I'd have prefered equal room above and below the bird. At that subject distance, with BG so close, opening up the aperture might have helped with the BG.

Frank, I played a bit with it on a (suboptimal) photo editor here at work (when I should have been working, of course). What do you think of something like this?

Hi Frank, I like your angle of capture, and good whites on the spoonbill. Overall nice and sharp, and the water between the bill is a nice touch. Your repost in pane # 3 does work better, but as Kaustubh stated, a little more off the bottom wont harm this either.
