The Superb Parrot is confined to a small area in my home state of New South Wales. This 30 foot high nesting hollow is very low for this species :)

Canon EOS10D, Canon 100-400 mm lens, ISO 100, Natural light and fill flash, 1/125 F11, Tower/hide, Tripod.

Great pose, light and details. Just a bit tight at the left side for my taste.

The eye contact is fantastic, sharpness and detail are very good. Only thing I would change is maybe the framing to allow more room for the tail.

    Great image John,
Love the colors and details on the Miss. Would like a wee bit more room for her tail.

As long as were' talking about adding to the left, I'd love to see the whole shadow since you have most of it there.

Great EXP, sharpness, and head angle. I esp. like the bottom half of the tree with the column-like patterns.

Wow, what effort you went through to capture this gorgeous Aussie parrot. Even though a little tight on the left, the pose and eye contact are beautiful.
    Congrats! :)
