    Default Iris III

I got lost in shooting the variety of Iris at the Botanical Gardens in St. Louis last week...they have an amazing variety of these beautiful flowers. This one was shot with the 180mm, f/22@1/15. RAW image processed in LR; NIK Tonal Contrast applied at 15%, slight curves adjustment for color and tone, NIK Vignette Blur applied at 70% with some of the effect masked out near the bottom center, and finished with Topaz Simplify BuzzSim at 66%. Hoping to hit the Gardens again this weekend!

You're doing a beautiful job with these irises. The vignette blur produced a nice effect on this one. The yellows and blues are a great color combination.

Soft, sweet yet detailed. I love the color too! One of my favorites to photograph and I haven't gotten my hands on any this year!

The colors, the lines, the composition and the processing are awesome!! All of your recent flower postings would look beautiful hanging on walls somewhere.

John, I think this one is my favorite in your series. There is so much to look at in this image - the yellows which show up in several places, the beautiful curving lines and most especially the vignette blur gives it a luminous quality that I love.

One of my favorite flowers, John. Your image really draws me in. Wouldn't change a thing and agree it would look lovely on a wall. Well done!

Hi John, love the processing and the comp. It works quite well centered the way you have composed it.

This is one of my favorites of this gorgeous series. Love the blues!! Beautiful curves, shades, textures, composition in this one. Excellent initial capture and post processing. Soft and beautiful.
