5D3 high ISO (3200) Dowitcher
I was trying my 5D3 for some low light flight shots. Images look nice and AF in low light is pretty good too.

5D3 700mm f/6.3 1/1600sec ISO 3200 processed with latest DPP.
Here is a HD size image to inspect the details closely

Great work & excellent IQ @ 3200 ISO. Also like underwing feathers detail in HD size.

I agree it looks pretty good from here too. I particularly like the foot just touching the water, the droplet on the bill and the highlights in the eye.
Updating DPP has proven problematical in UK the canon website for updates is completely out of date as far as I can see. I went to the USA site and I am currently using 3.11.26.0, I am guessing this is the most up to date because I noticed at some point in the help menu that reference was made to the 5D 111 - am I right?

Looks great for 3200 ISO, @Jonathan, I downloaded the latest DPP from the UK site, which is 3.11.26.

Thanks guys,
3.11.26 is indeed the latest version and fixes the issue with 5D3. I had no problem downloading from US site.

Lovely detail capture Arash, also like the upright wing position TFS

Very beautiful and sharp with fine wing positions. Love the foot just touching the water.

Excellent pose and the IQ is great!
I cannot see a bit of noise, it looks as good as all your photos, not a bit of difference.

Arash, IQ is indeed very good. loved all those details in the underwings. pose with one foot touching down is also awesome. Very good work.
Are you applying DLO to your recent shots?

Thanks Kaustubh, I don;t use DLO with supertelephoto lenses. The optics is close to perfect and there is no correction necessary. I use it with zoom lenses like 24-105 and 70-200

Amazing what the 5D3 can do at such high ISO - and what you can do with the camera.

good to know. that also means I am not missing much as my 400f5.6L is not yet supported by DLO. When it does, I'll find out for sure...but from your experience, looks like the improvement won't be that much. I am seeing benefit of it on my 17-40f4L files.

Arash. we all know about your post processing skills. So now, I have to ask the question. Is the 5DMKIII that good with the ISO that the IQ is like that, or you did your magic to this photo?
Nice how one leg touches the water while the other is still in the air. Great moment, nice colors and sharpness. AF seems to be good with this busy BG.

Thanks Lorant, of course it doesn't come out of the camera like that. I have applied advanced NR but the starting RAW is quite good otherwise you won't be able to get an output like this.
