I took a Night Photography workshop in St. Augustine last week and this is one of my attempts. It was the first time I'd attempted night photography and I thought it was fun. I used Nik Low key on this one. I wrestled with the crop and would love any feedback.

I like this a lot Cheryl! The colors are beautiful, and the reflections are very nice. The crop works well. I haven't seen the bridge, so it's hard to tell but I wonder if it would benefit from a little CW rotation.
You did a great job on this, Cheryl. The reflections and starbursts are worth extra points, and including the curved approach to the bridge was a great touch. I don't see a bit of noise, either.
Here's my take on cropping. Proportionally (top to bottom), I agree with where you put the bridge. However, the sky is featureless above the starbursts, and the reflections are softening near the bottom of the frame. So I cropped from both the top and the bottom by amounts that left the bridge right where you had it. This gives more of a panorama look, which I think works well with the horizontal subject, and -- because they are, now, proportionately larger -- the bridge, lights, and remaining reflections play a bigger role in the image. It also reduces the area on the lower left that didn't have much in the way of reflections.
Cheryl, I love it! I agree with Maureen and would give it a slight rotation so that the center posts were straighter. I could go either way with the comp. Could you share some of your settings with us and maybe even a few tips. Great job!
The lights pop! Lovely colors, especially reflections in water. I'd go for a CW rotation to make bridge horizontal straight, and crop off the top only, leaving lovely water. It is fun to learn new photo techniques, isn't it?
Hi Cheryl; late to the party here...and I echo the observations of others. I, too, could go either way with the composition; looking at the small pier in the LLC as my reference point, I agree with the suggestion of a slight CW rotation to the image. I like the subtle, pastel-colored reflections on the water...nice job handling the exposure!

f/18 (for the starbursts), 30sec., ISO 100, 4500K WB (creates a nice color at twilight).
