    Default Silver Back

Another image from my day at the Toronto Zoo. The large male silver back was sitting in a pleasing location in the enclosure with minimal distractions which I evicted. Fractalius as usual on it's own layer with the opacity reduced slightly and eyes masked back in.

    Look forward to comments.

Nice one, Andrew. I wish we could see the top of his head, but having tried to get decent images in a zoo setting, I know you have to settle for what's possible Fract looks great!

Andrew, one of my favorite of the great apes...love the accentuation of the forehead, the expressive eyes, the illusion of depth and the detail captured in the shadow beneath the chin...and that sly, almost mischievous pose with the mouth. Like Maureen, I would have liked to have seen the top of the head, but it's not a deal-breaker...and the processing with Fractalius, as always, is well done.

Andrew, I love this one! If it were mine I would eliminate the triangle in the URC and crop some off the top so it looks cropped not clipped. Great looking pose, details and Fract work. Your recent blog post kicked bu**!!!

Thanks Maureen, Denise and John for the comments, much appreciated.

Denise, that is good idea to crop out the small bit of background on the right and thanks for the kind words regarding the blog post.

Andrew, Denise's suggestion sounds like a good idea. I LOVE the fract work on this one
