Default Mallard meets ? with color

    HELLO, FOLKS!
Here's a shot of a hybrid duck. Mallard bred with ? to give us this one. A mallard / farmduck hybrid, or something more fun? I don't know, but wish I did. I vignetted this one but good. An effect I first overused but am now using SPARINGLY. Which is to say that I am only applying it to pictures here and there. Otherwise: OVERKILL and BADNESS! Anyhow, I like it here but am posting this here so as to encourage your thoughts and ideas, etc etc.
Thanks kindly for having a look...

    Glad tidings,

Glad tidings back to you, Jack

I like your image and don't find any "badness" in the vignette at all. My suggestion would be to consider a crop from the bottom. I might also try to lighten the eye just a bit.

    Nice looking duck!

I rarely use a light vignette. Almost never, in fact. However, upon looking at your image, I'm not sure why. It sure works here. You sized the crop well, too.

Maureen's suggestions about the eye and cropping some off the bottom are good ones in my opinion. Some of the reflection would be lost in the crop, but that wouldn't bother me.

Hi Jack, Ditto the crop on the bottom and lightening the eye. Beautiful looking details and water!

Jack, I agree with the cropping and eye suggestions. I love the vignette and the colors in the water. Nice work
