just wanted to post one sparrow for april. This one was fun to watch - it was having problems balancing on the thin seed stalks while it ate.

Hi Pat, the thumbnail doesnt do the image justice. I was pleasantly surprised to see how the sparrow pops from the surrounding BG, sharp, and well timed to get the raised wing.

Well captured Pat, the bird looks nice and sharp, like the wing and the environment.

Great timing and action captured. Nice tones in this image.

Very nice indeed, for me just a tad bright especially on the bill and right leg.

hey Stuart, Jack, Joe and Jonathan, thank you so much for commenting! I knew with the busy environment this probably wouldn't show well - but I really enjoyed taking it. (and most of my other sparrow pics seem to be bird-on-a-stick!) Jonathan, I checked the whites on the spots on the wing, but didn't check the bill and leg - so I bet pp put them over the top. Thank you for mentioning that!
