    Default Close-up Peeper

A Spring Peeper captured before weather turned cool again. The frogs have been very quite in the ponds as a result of the cool weather that has sent us a mix of rain and snow over the last several days. I have done a tremendous amount of cloning to remove distracting elements in this one and added a touch of canvas to the top as it was a little too tight, and then I fracted it of course.

    Look forward to comments.

Another cool composition, Andrew. I like the perspective and the fract effect is just awesome. It just stands out! Excellent work!

I love the pose and the fract work is really nice on this one! It's in the 80s here and the humidity finally came up so it is pretty warm if working outside.

That's one wicked looking frog..and a nice job of processing on the image. Maybe a bit more canvas on the RHS? Not sure...love these frogs you keep posting!

This is a great shot. It could be shown in a variety of compositions, and you chose a good one. The colors work well together, and I really like the Fractalius effect on the head, back, and toes. With the vocal sac being so large, anyway, I found the intensity of the Fractalius effect, there, a bit distracting. With the effect subdued, the sac is still obvious, but the rest of the peeper plays a larger role in the image.

Thanks folks for the comments, much appreciated.

Dennis, thanks for the repost, I do like it with a slightly reduced effect also. This peeper had a very spotted vocal sac...I find that the frogs with the spotted type of vocal sacs tend to fract the best. It is going to be warming up quite a bit over the next few days, hopefully the frogs and toads will start singing in a day or so.
