    Default Jackdaw landing

    This Jackdaw taken a couple of years back on a 20D + EF 300 @ f/5, 1/1600s ISO 400.

Image B&W converted in SIlkyPix with slight sepia tone in CS3.

    Hi John,

Love the contrast and old school look to it. The B&W works very well in this image. The only thing that bothers me is the wing about his head.

The B/W and composition work well. I would like to see more of the right wing and the BG looks a bit noisy. I'm not sure if it looks a bit soft or if this is due to postprocessing.

I, too like the looks of this....rather nostalgic. The minute I saw it I thought of Alfred Hitchcock's movie The Birds. One thing that might make this a little more unusual is if you colored in the eye....might be rather dramatic.
