    Default Strutting Sharp-tailed Grouse

I took this image of a strutting sharp-tailed grouse on a lek from a ground blind a few days ago. Grouse are active on the leks from before sunrise till about 8:30 a.m. There were approximately 40 dancing males on the lek.

I like this. Great low angle, great pose, the purple and yellow really stand out, sharp, exposure looks good to me and raised tail is awesome. Might add just a tad of room at the top. TFS

Loved everything here. The thumbnail does not do justice to this shot...perhaps thats the reason for less number of comments. I loved this one. great pose, low angle, light, comp., details and exposure. BG, a bit busy but I dont mind it. there is nice separation.

Thank you for the encouraging remarks regarding my grouse image. I posted the image at the full allowable size and it opens on my computer as such. Does it display only as a thumbnail when you open it? If it only shows as a thumbnail, I can repost it.
    Thanks again.

No, I didn't mean that. I was referring to the thumbnail that is seen on the main forum page. When you click and come inside the thread, the image is seen fine.
