    Default Stilt finishing the day

I took this just before sunset and with the sun just going behind some clouds. A new location for me so lots to learn about it.

    1D Mk 4, 500mm + 1.4 TC, 1/800 @ 5.6, ISO 800, manual mode and from car.

Clean up of water - little bits of stuff and I lightened the eye as it was almost black and not showing the red parts.

    Thanks Tom

Nice smooth water and the Stilt looks very good.

Tom, great exposure control. I like the bill touching the water. Needs a slight CW rotation.

loved the water here...and the soft details. Excellent pose. agree with rotation. If mine, I'd take some off the bottom and left.

Lovely species and well done with your low angle and getting that red eye to show up. Repost corrected the issues I had with horizon & comp. What a stunning bird.

I was going to post a Stilt image until I saw this....nice work! I would like the crop somewhere between the OP and the repost.

Still post your Stilt Image Colin - I like my original comp with more room. Thanks all for the comments.
