    Default White-tailed Kite pair

    This pair of Kites is one of at least two pair nesting in my area. This image was made after a rival bird approached the nest area of these two. A ruckus took place, after which this pair joined each other on their favorite perch. Cropped image, removed one small branch, lightened the eyes as much as I dared and did my best to handle the harsh light and poor IQ that my equipment produces

    Lens: 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6

    I like the comp and to get two in a frame is nice.
    I would try to sharpen the birds a bit more, though they look separated enough that I am not sure f7.1 was enough
    to get both sharp. I wish I had Kites where I live!

    Interesting birds and image. Yes to sharpening. For the repost I simply ran Unsharp Mask at 161/.4 on the whole image.

    Thanks, Artie for your efforts, RP looks much better. The tiff master file looks sharp but my derivative didn't match.
