I have always had a sweet spot for the common pigeon. I don't know why this bird has been saddled with such a bad reputation, and sometimes feel that the lowly pigeon is the scapegoat for all things that humans don't like about birds. Anyway, here is a pigeon, or rock dove, or rock pigeon - whichever you prefer. Captured in late afternoon light, full frame. Noise reduction on the background (Topaz DeNoise) and sharpening on the bird (unsharp mask in PS).

"It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera... they are made with the eye, heart, and head." - Henri Cartier Bresson
The story here is the beauty of flight, full wings and a fanned tail. This is the kind of image I like, very original subject placement and composition not to mention a perfectly muted background - like it as presented.
really beautiful Kerry - the fanned tail and the wings are lovely- love the greyish colors of the bird and background broken by the pink of the feet and eyes.
