    Default Sanderling or Dunlin

I was glad that I went to Ft. Desoto last Saturday despite the poor weather forecast. From my Birds of Florida book, it looks like this is a Sanderling but someone pointed to me that it was a Dunlin.
Either way, I was quite happy with this shot.

Nice shot, Troy. Definitely a Dunlin. The bill is waaaay to long for Sanderling. The spots on the belly are the beginning of breeding plumage in the Dunlin, which will have a black belly.
