Hi Vivaldo, with the two threads posted, it illustrates that you have been very busy. The IQ, content and more importantly, your vision has clearly been raised with some stunning imagery. My only question is to the blue of the water, I just wonder if it has been pushed a little too much, even if you applied a drop-in CP filter????
Some 'Top draw' stuff, well done.

now this sets the scene nicely! can't wait for the 'impact' images...
love the low angle you were able to achieve...I hear Steve about the blues...maybe drop cyan saturation just a tad?

Hi Vivaldo,
What a wonderful image. I like the composition, detail, and POV. I am not worried about the colour of the water. With the predicament SA's rhino's are in this is a very apt posting.
Best wishes to you and your family and thanks for sharing,
Mark.

Vivaldo - nice low pov and IQ looks good. I like Grady's crop suggestion as an alternative. Looking forward to seeing the next in the series.

Grady your repost improves this image TKS and to be honest I should have done this in the first place
Thanks everyone for comments. The blue in the water was always bothered me, will take Morkel's suggestion on reducing the cyan channel.

Hi Vivaldo, I think you may need to adjust more than one colour, cyan will not do it all.
cheers

yup - try cyan and blue...

Thanks for suggestions
I reduced the blue's in the OP already and that didn't help much. Will try a bit of both again and see if it improves things.

Very true.

I like the sky on the top and great light and colors. I would maybe like to have seen a touch more space below as well. Thats personal though

Hi Peter, I can see why you love Etosha, it's a magical place. I will definitely return, hopefully next year. On this trip I only stayed for five nights which for me just wasn't enough
Your PP work on this image works so well and really make everything pop so nicely. Will give it another try as my OP just seems so dull in compare cent.

Hi Peter, nice to see your input here, I like the way you have lifted the whole image, (brightened it, in basic terms), but I do feel the blue is just OTT IMHO
. I full respect you knowledge of the location and from past posts over the years you have expanded on how the light changes the perception of things, and how we see things in this location, but would you say to this degree, of 'Dubai' blue
?
Vivaldo, what time of day was this shot?

Steve this was shot an hour before sunset, the time was about 6 pm.

Thanks Vivaldo, agree totally a magical place , 5 days way too short to do it justice, will be going hopefully in next few months and again next year.
Steve,
the skies in Etosha are really difficult to explain because of the dust/sand etc hanging around , makes for wonderful sunrises and sunsets.
Tbh this whole debate about "well this is what it look like etc etc" ... I take with a pinch of salt but this is my perspective and realise others think differently . With my photography I want to create a beautiful images but keep it photographically realistic. As I put in another thread "I am in the xerox business" but thats just me...

Vivaldo,
Great image, colours in OP look OK to me as they are fairly normal for Etosha where the light can produce very strange effects for those who are not used to it.
Peters repost is marvelous
