    Love the feet just about to touch the water and the nice wing spread with the details in the plumage. A winner for sure. Nice one, Karl.

    Agree it would be nice to have more separation of the beak, but the underwing detail really makes this one for me. Nice image quality.

    These plain looking birds are transformed when they spread their wings, and you caught that perfectly. Agree with you about the bill, but that isn't a deal-breaker. Lovely image.

    Nice one, Karl. I love that you can see the underwings so well. I agree with your own assessment about the beak merge but still a nice capture. I would consider adding a tad more canvas at the bottom for him to fly/land into and maybe a tad less on top.

    Beautiful image, if it were mine I would lower the brightness just a tad, it is surprising, the difference it makes.
