Captured recently at the local bird sanctuary. This is a wild bird, free to come and go. Sure is a cranky beast however, always chasing the trumpeters around

10% crop from left. Selective sharpening. Discrete application of tonal contrast and detail extractor in color efex pro.

I liked the simple lines and shapes. Wondered about the fine darker areas at very bottom of frame. I think they add a bit more detail, but curious what others think.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

    Cheers

I like the way he is looking at the viewer. At first i wasn't sure about the body pose but I like it now. I think I would crop above thos dark areas since you mentioned it.

Hi Randy, a different pose for sure, and it works for me, with the swan's neck curled up into the frame. I like the 'umbrella' wing pose and would crop off just above the small dark triangle at bottom.

Randy, I like the comp and those beautiful white wings. The droplets due add the image. Strange to some, but all to common for around these parts. Great shooting with again last weekend. Have a safe trip this one.

    Gary.
