I like the environment here with the vertical trees in the BG, Sanjeev. Nice striding pose. Not much you can do about the dirt track here as National Parks are full of them and predators love to walk on them too.
I tried a crop here to remove some 'dead space' and also ran some more noise reduction on the BG (although you did a great job @ ISO2500! ). Added some fine sharpening to the jackal and also toned down overall brightness with a luminosity mask.

    What do you think?

I like your fine tuning of the image Morkel, it looks much better after removing the dead space and sharpening of the subject. I agree on the NR, the 7D tends to use a high ISO if it is allowed to choose it. I used f8 for the DOF and wanted a higher SS as the Jackal was moving. Can you pl tellme where I can learn to use the Luminosity Mask? Also thank you Harshad for your comments.
    Thanks
    Sanjeev
