More birds in flight. The hen and top drake are the original image. The bottom drake has been added via Photoshop. It was in the rapid sequence frames following the original. I understand this is allowed if disclosed. The light is a bit harsh. D3s, Nikkor 600mm, f5.6, 1/4000, iso 800, hand held. C & C appreciated.

    Gary,

I like it, well done and the additional duck provides balance and the disclosure is proper and well received IMO. The three varied wing positions is nice and shows different perspectives on flight. The only suggestion and this is minor the three could be moved closer/tighter to the BRHC. The red heads are beautiful, this must have been a great moment with nature where were you. Thanks for posting - well done.

Jeff and John thanks for the look and kind comments. Jeff, the location was Market Lake WMA which is close to I15, approximately 15 miles North of Idaho Falls, Idaho. During March and April large numbers of migrating water foul pass through (snows, tundra and trumpeter swans, large flocks of mallards and pintails, with cans and redheads in smaller numbers. A few redheads and cans will stay. Most of the WMA is currently off limits until mid July due to nesting birds. It was fun getting two birds in reasonable focus in one image. Thanks for not commenting on RED HEAD instead of REDHEAD. Is there a way to edit after posting a thread?
