Great image Alan! I like the wing position, fanned tail, details, perch, open beak and BG.

Beautiful as usual Alan. Was this shot with one of the crop modes or full frame?

Beautiful capture, Alan. Love the perch, wing position and open bill. I would tone down the brightness a bit.

Alan, great choice of perch. the open bill, raised wings, eye contact...so many things working well together...which is what your images are all about. great at so many different levels.

The light here is sublime. Love all the intricacies of the vegetation and the pose is over the top.

Great shot - I like the fact that it's at a perch, but still an active pose. My only change would be to the brightness - on my monitor it seems a bit too bright.

If I keep seeing more and more D800 images, my D300s may be forced into early retirement. My D700 may be my new backup.

I do. The added sharpness is worth it with what's looking like Moire being a non issue.
