    The grebes have just come back for breeding. They are pairing up and calling. This taken at the Sackville Waterfowl Park this evening with the nice warm light of a setting sun. I would have liked a little better head angle. BG is white birch trees reflected in the water.

    40D, 100-400mm @ 400mm, 1/160, F8, ISO 640, from RAW. noise reduced, small crop. fill flash

    Nice pose and great water colors. I might increase the color temperature a bit as the plumage has a blueish cast.

    HI John can also suggest to crop a little from the bottom The reflection is not strong and would make it bigger in frame A good trade off !!! Love that water !!!!
