    Ian,

    Nice capture, love the composition - very original with a nice top side view of the wings. Opportunity to make it stronger would be the eye IMO, the viewer will probably look at the eye to see where the subject is looking. Possibly work the eye area, lighten, sharpen and make it more prominent. Techs look good, thanks for posting and keep em coming.

    ps - might crop a bit from the left for a cleaner edge. I am torn here, let's see what other say

    Thanks, Jeff. Yes, I agree about the eye and meant to mention that in the original post. I tried a catchlight, but that didn't look too good. I'll try some selective work on it. I tried a bit of crop off the left and it looked too square to me.

    I agree with the crop, it is fine just thinking about the edges but the rocks on the left actually provide some character - like it as is.
