I thought I would post this Lineated Woodpecker on Earth Day. To me it looks like he is hugging the tree. This was taken in January in Costa Rica. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

Good angle really brings out the detail along the whole body. The branch works well and doesn't overwhelm the image. Well done.

Nice image Jim, the WP is nicely exposed and sharp. Well done with the red crest.

Thinner stumps are always a favorite of mine for woodpecker images. This one is excellent.

Hi Jim, you have brought out the colours very well, and I really like the sharpness you have achieved in this. I also like the thinner trunk than the normal thicker one posted generally.

Jim, nice view of the pattern on the breast. Excellent position of the head. I like how you've got the head right in front of the green in the BG. Well done.
